While on the South American leg of her Sticky & Sweet Tour, Madge went big at the Four Seasons Resort in Buenos Aires. She had been in the city to perform several gigs, and by the time she left the hotel, her bill was a million bucks.
Madge didn’t spend it all herself though. She, 200 backup dancers, singers, and other support staff helped contribute. Her entourage booked 110 rooms at a rate of $600 a piece.
Before they checked out to head to Chile, a hotel source told Ireland’s Sunday World, “When they check out on Tuesday, with room service and extras the bill will top $1 million. This is the finest hotel in South America, offering every luxury you could possibly imagine, and it doesn’t come cheap. We’ve had some pop stars and presidents before, but nothing quite like this.”
