Jewel has just released her first-ever independent album entitled
Lullaby. And although Jewel has made it clear she’s ready for kids with husband
Ty Murray, she insists that her album isn’t just for the younger crowd.
Jewel says of her new project, “This isn’t just a kids’ album, it’s really a mood album—perfect to relax at the end of a long day. It will soothe and lull children, but it was also written and sung for adults to enjoy and unwind with.”
The album features 10 self-written songs, as well as a few standards like
Somewhere Over the Rainbow and
Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star.
Jewel partnered up with Fisher-Price to create the album. It’s part of their Fisher-Price Artist Series, which will be available at major retailers in the toy and baby departments, as well as jeweljk.com on May 5th. And it’s just in time for Mother’s Day!
Jewel is also currently working on her next country music album as a follow-up to her #1 Billboard charting
Perfectly Clear, which was released in 2008. She also continues her philanthropic work with
Project Clean Water, a foundation she started in 1997, which works towards providing clean water globally.
Jewel is definitely a busy woman! Hopefully amidst all the hard work, she finds time to start a family with Ty! She’ll be such a great mom!
