The buzz around Nashville is that
Jessica Simpson has been dropped from her label. Apparently it’s been in the works for a few months now.
Ever since Jessica repeatedly forgot the lyrics to her own songs at her concerts, Sony BMG bosses have been furious with her, and have threatened to drop her.
And now that her tour with
Rascal Flatts is over, her name has reportedly been wiped from the roster at the label. No photos, no profile, no press releases, nothing!
And now that we mention it, Jess was mysteriously absent at the Academy of Country Music awards on Sunday. Anyone who is anyone in the country scene shows up there. Instead, Jess opted to go to Cabo with friends.
According to
US Magazine Jessica's rep confirmed that she is no longer with the Sony Nashville label.
There has been no word from Sony BMG yet, but they have some explaining to do! This is pretty sad for Jessica since she finally seemed like she was enjoying her own music. Too bad she just couldn’t remember her own lyrics!
