Jennifer Hudson to Give Special Performance on Idol

March 24, 2009

Jennifer Hudson will be appearing on American Idol with an intimate performance. It will be taped this Wednesday after the results show, and then aired at a later date.

So those who have tickets for tomorrow’s show will be able to get two shows in one! According to The NY Post, the ticket voucher reads that the second taping that night will be Jennifer Hudson and Ruben Studdard performing.

This will be Jennifer’s first time back on American Idol since she was a part of competition in 2004. It’s hard to believe she came in seventh! She’s gone on to do such amazing work!

Hudson is expected to take the stage to sing one of the songs off of her self-titled debut album, which won the Grammy for Best R&B Album last month. And then on Thursday, Jennifer will be a guest on Ellen, performing her single, If This Isn't Love.

This is all to gear her up for her national tour, kicking off March 31st with Robin Thicke. We’re so glad to have her back!
