Jay-Z To Play At Inauguration

January 07, 2009

Even though Beyonce was the one who said she’d do anything to sing at the Presidential inauguration, it looks like her hubby is the one that’s getting the honors.

Jay-Z announced his plans to play a concert honoring President elect Obama to celebrate his special day later this month. Jigga has teamed up with Live Nation to play an intimate concert for Obama in D.C. the day prior to him getting sworn into office. Nothing like a little “99 Problems But A Bitch Aint One” to get our new prez amped up!

Jay-Z will play with a full band at the Warner Theater, which seats almost 2000 people, for the show he’s calling In Concert On The Eve Of Change. Tickets will be open to the public on Friday. We don’t even want to know ho expensive those are going to be!

In addition to Jay-Z, several other artists are taking the stage for inauguration eve shows, like Rihanna, Sting, and Kanye West. It’s so great to see the continuation of support pour in for Obama!
