Elton John will be appearing on
Eminem’s new album. The two of them dueted at the Grammys back in 2001. And industry insiders say they’re teaming up again to record a track on Relapse. John has been spotted in Detroit at the recording studio with him too. This is Eminem’s first album in five years.
A source tells British newspaper the Independent, "No one realized the significance, though the Detroit Free Press did mention that Elton had been in town. Elton really gets his music. Anything they produce will be total dope: some of Em's biggest records have been collaborations with mainstream pop stars - Dido on 'Stan', for example - and they really don't come much bigger, or more mainstream, than the man with the red piano."
We love this dichotomy of the two of them performing together! We loved the collaboration between Eminem and Dido, so we have high hopes for the Elton-Eminem mash-up!
