Dolly Parton is more than just a country girl! She’s being honored by the Gospel Music Association next month, and will be inducted into the Gospel Hall of Fame. She’ll join Grammy-winning singer songwriter Michael W. Smith, Dr. Bobby Jones and the Dixie Hummingbirds at the induction ceremony in Nashville, Tennessee.
GMA President John Styll says Dolly and the other inductees qualify because of their shared common heritage of gospel music. He says, "This year's class of GMA Gospel Music Hall of Fame inductees have all achieved great professional and personal success in many different areas of the music and entertainment industries, but each shares a common heritage of the Gospels' powerful impact on their lives.”
Who knew Dolly had more in her than 9 to 5? Apparently she’s even released Gospel and even Christian-based albums during her career. Congrats to Dolly! The show airs February 12th.
