Clay Aiken chart-topping days may be over. He’s reportedly split from his record label, RCA.
According to Billboard, the two parted ways a couple of months ago following the low sales of On My Way Here, which Clay released before his children were born. And before he publicly came out of the closet.
But maybe Clay doesn’t really need a label at this point in his life. He seems to be doing very well with his stage work, and has also just booked a gig as a guest judge on America’s Next Top Model.
We wouldn’t exactly call him a fashionista per say, but a job is a job! Clay will appear on the show on April 8th. We think if he plays his cards right, he can continue to have a career on stage. That’s ultimately where he belongs. He’s so theatrical, and it’s almost too much for the pop genre.
