Coldplay fans can breathe a sigh of relief, the band is not splitting up anytime soon.

Coldplay fans fear that Chris Martin may one day want to leave the group for a solo career (let's face it, it happens all the time!), but Martin insists that hell would have to freeze over before he would go solo.

When asked if he would consider releasing a solo album he said, he said: “It would probably mean I’ve been dumped by...
As you know, Coldplay is in the middle of a nasty lawsuit with guitarist Joe Satriani, who claims that their hit song “Viva La Vida” is a rip-off of his 2004 track “If I Could Fly.”

But rather than get angry about the claims, Chris Martin is taking it all in stride. He says the lawsuit has even inspired him to become a better singer!

In an interview that appears on Coldplay.com, Martin says, "Some people are suing us at...
Uh-oh. Coldplay is being accused of plagiarism again! Now the veteran singer, Yusef Islam, previously known as Cat Stevens, alleges the band ripped off one of his songs. And funny enough, it’s the same song Joe Satriani accused them of stealing—Viva la Vida.

Chris Martin and the guys filed papers in a Los Angeles court today, responding to Satriani’s copyright infringement claim, saying his song "lacks originality" and therefore was in no position to receive copyright protection. Ouch! Hitting him where it hurts! They...
Coldplay has just released their music video for Life In Technicolor, and we’re disappointed to report that it doesn’t star Chris Martin! Not unless a puppet version of himself counts.

The video takes place at a children’s party, who all sit down to watch a puppet show. But rather than watching a kiddie play, puppet versions of the Coldplay members take the stage and rock out, even smashing the miniature guitar at the end of th...Click on the Headline to view the Video.
Chris Martin is determined to let his fans know that he did indeed come up with the song Viva La Vida. He and Coldplay were served with a lawsuit last week by guitarist Joe Satriani, who is accusing them of stealing the song from him. Joe says Coldplay copied segments of his 2004 instrumental If I Could Fly, and that’s how they came up with Viva La Vida.

Chris is so insistent on pr...Click on the Headline to view the Video.
We certainly hope this isn’t any time soon! Chris Martin has been heavily hinting at his retirement lately. He believes musicians should step away from the music scene when they’re in their mind 30s. He says he and his band Coldplay will retire from the limelight in a couple years to ensure they’re ending at the top of their game.

But lucky for us fans, Chris says until that time, they’ll continue to pump out as many albums as...
