January 28, 2010
by:

Carrie Underwood
This year’s Super Bowl has added some star power to their lineup! Singing divas Carrie Underwood and Queen Latifah will both be performing at next month’s event in Miami.

Carrie will be singing the “National Anthem,” while the Queen herself will belt out “America the Beautiful.” The performances will be televised live on CBS Sports prior to kickoff.

Underwood is among many great performers who have been honored with singing the National Anthem at the Super Bowl including: Billy Joel, Diana Ross, Neil Diamond, Whitney Houston, Harry Connick, Jr., Garth Brooks, Natalie Cole, Vanessa Williams, Luther Vandross, Cher, Faith Hill, Mariah Carey, Dixie Chicks, Beyoncé Knowles, Jennifer Hudson and many more.

Queen Latifah joins Ray Charles, Mary J. Blige and Marc Anthony, Alicia Keys and Faith Hill as the only artists to perform the song at the Super Bowl.

The NFL previously announced that THE WHO will perform in the Bridgestone Super Bowl XLIV Halftime Show. Tune in Sunday, February 7th to see the Saints vs. the Colts!
