Most of our favorite acts right now are overseas, so we weren’t surprised when we got hooked on the new sound of
BoA. She’s one of Korea and Japan’s biggest pop stars, and has sold over 20 million records worldwide. But now she’s making a splash on the U.S. pop scene.
BoA’s self-titled debut American album was released in March and debuted at #3 on the Billboard Top Heatseekers. Her song
I did it for love, which features Sean Garrett, is burning up the charts. She’ll be performing the song with Garrett at the MTV Japan Music Video Awards.
