Aretha Franklin
Aretha Franklin, the Queen of Soul, took the stage today in Washington, D.C. and sang “My Country ‘Tis of Thee”, an American patriotic song on the steps of Capitol Hill at Barack Obama's Presidential inauguration ceremony.

Franklin sang right before Vice President Joe Biden took the stage to get sworn in.

Did you guys think Aretha did a good job or were you distracted by her big boy hat?

Aretha Franklin did NOT sing the US anthem. The US Anthem is "The Star Spangled Banner"!!!

I guess Aretha felt the need to get a big bow in symbolic reference to her being the only performer there today. Yikes! Does she have a dresser?
