You better show Aretha Franklin some R-E-S-P-E-C-T, because she’s going to be performing at the presidential inauguration for Barack Obama in January.

The US Marine band will open the ceremony, which will be held on the west side of the US Capitol. After a few opening remarks from California Senator Dianne Feinstein, Aretha will take the stage. She’ll be followed by Yo-Yo Ma and Itzhak Perlman, who is a world-renowned violinist.

And Obama himself was involved in the musical artist...

Come on guys, all Aretha wants is a little R-E-S-P-E-C-T!

The divas of old are back with a vengeance! First Natalie Cole expressed her disappointment with Amy Winehouse, and now Aretha has beef with Beyonce.

However, I dismissed it as a cheap shot for controversy." ...

Aretha Franklin is a whole new woman.  She now has a trainer, is performing at this Sunday's Grammy's, and she coming out with an album under her own label, Aretha's Records.

She tells the AP, "I've got a new trainer, and she's giving me a lot of good things, really educating me about nutrition and weight loss and how to do it, and cooking stuff for you. I'm not on a diet. It's a lifestyle change. I'm going to be...
