Wyclef Jean Thinks Lauryn Hill Is Crazy

It's safe to say that Lauren Hill pissed off her fellow bandmates when she broke up the Fugees, and according to Wyclef Jean, she did it because she's bipolar.

Jean said: "I felt sorry for her, because I think she needs psychiatric help. I felt like she's bipolar. You can't get angry with someone who's sick,"

Jean tells Rolling Stone. "So I even called her mom, and I stressed to her, 'Yo, you need to get her psychiatric help.' But I think they all fear her to death. She wasn't always like this - but if someone has the ego and you keep feeding the ego, it's going to turn monstrous."

That's a pretty harsh claim to make about somebody. What do you guys think? Is there any truth to Jean's claims or is he still angry after all these years?

I think she definitely has some kind of serious mental issue...yeah, he may still be a little bitter about what happened in the past, but the truth is the truth in this case. If you read the rest of what he was saying it included that she told the band to call her 'Miss Hill' because she didn't think they would go for calling her 'Queen Hill' or something like that. And just look at her!

I'm bipolar. It takes one to know one. I believe Wyclef. Bipolar disorder is a mood disorder. You can go from 0 - 60 in 30 seconds. In other words, you can go from normal to enraged to bizarre to hyper-sexual to grandiose, etc. And this usually happens on a daily basis. I feel bad because I get treatment and lead a relatively normal existence, while most others never get help and just suffer and self-medicate.

google her and you'll see some recent pics that will scare the crap out of you. she looks like an insane clown. people were walking out on her recent concerts after 3 songs. she claims to be bob marley's son's wife, but he says they aren't married. they do have some kids tho.

Lauryen is crazy hands down. and RASCIST as hell too. She hates white people. In fact if your research Lauren a little deeper you'll even see she only shacked up with Marley son to try to spread her ego-genes to create "musical talent" with marleys genes. Hollywood is a whore who will let anyone inside her.

I think that people are crazy who assume that they can speak on the mental health of a person that they have never met. I think Lauryn is talented, but there are definitely some issues going on that need to be resolved to soothe the public's curiosity. I would say the public is bipolar! One minute you love her and the next you hate her. Leave the comments to the real fans.

wow, i just came across this thread and can not believe what's being said! have you people lost your minds? Lauren Hill is fine. Perfectly fine. Wyclef is simply one of those men that can not handle a strong, wise and talented woman. He will do anything to tarnish her image. I had a boyfriend like that once. And believe me its a power struggle. Lauren is a powerful, spritual,intelligent and artistic woman. Thats a challenge for some men. Yeah she took some time off to heal...i also did after i broke up with the monster that was holdng me down and making me feel worthless, wouldnt you? Its hard and if you've ever encountered someone like that especially if you loved them dearly you would understand that it messes with your heart, morals and values...makes you feel like you have to learn about love and yourself from scratch! Her heart is pure. Dont be blind. If wyclef is working his devious manipulation methods on you guys, imagine what lauren went through! The media brainwash people's minds so much that people lose the ability to be objective! Its sad. And lauren is not racist either! If you come from a hard place, like most black people do, the world over, its difficult turn your head the other way and not speak to their hearts, teach them something, help them, soath them with song. That doesnt make her racist. wake up people. Bipolar, Please! lol

I don't think Lauryn Hill is bipolar, simply because she broke up their band. Maybe she is bipolar, but that could be a whole other thing that is none of the publics business. If you think she has a great voice, then you should listen to her singing, no matter whether she is in the Fugees or not. Wyclef is just angry that she ruined his ultimate fame. But he needs to just get over it. Lauryn made the Fugees successful, but then she decided that she needed to go solo to further he career. Simple as that.

bipolar is an illness that needs to be treated... ppl shouldnt be labelling wyclef as "jelous" or bitter just cuz he thinks she needs psychiatric help. ...its not wrong or bad to have a mental illness. in fact, many creative people suffer from mental illnesses...there has been studies done on this. most ppl in here view mental illness in a very negative light, thats why they are saying comments against wyclef for saying that lauryn has bipolar...we need to get rid of the stigma surrounding mental illness. maybe wyclef is saying this cuz he wants people to help her get the treatments..
