Dustin Hoffman Takes His Role Seriously

Dustin Hoffman is just another celebrity that has slammed President George W. Bush. Hoffman feels "self-conscious" about being an American and understands why other countries resent Americans. Hoffman is one of several celebrities that have expressed dislike to our current president.

He says, "I think that the administration manipulated the grief of 9/11. They did it then and they do it now. Everybody knows why they wanted to go into Iraq and it had nothing to do with weapons of mass destruction. I'm an American and it's not a good feeling. When Americans say, 'I don't know why they hate us so much,' that's an uneducated response. There are lots of reasons why we're hated."

On a much lighter note, Dustin Hoffman’s kids believe that their dad was playing himself as the embarrassing dad in the movie Meet The Fockers. His 6 kids claim that he has been embarrassing them for years. Talk about method acting! Love this guy, he is too funny.

As to how embarrassing Hoffman can be, he says, "If you were asking my children, they would say I take the prize. I've been doing it all their lives, but I try and do it in a way that is amusing. "When I did Meet The Fockers, I came home and they all looked at me and said, 'Well, Dad, you finally played yourself.'”
