Congrats to Good Charlotte's Benji Madden and Australian actress Sophie Monk who just got engaged. According to People magazine the couple got engaged in Australia on Christmas Eve. Monk's publicist says, "They are very excited and enjoying this time with family and friends."
The two were first spotted in September at canoodling over lunch at L.A.'s Newsroom Café. That night, they stepped out again for dinner at The Ivy. Later that month Madden had told a crowd a Good Charlotte concert, "I have a MySpace page, but I'm only interested in serious relationships. If you're not interested in that, than too bad since I'm looking for true love." Looks like he found it, in the meantime we are wondering if this new step will rub onto his brother Joel Madden who is dating "Simple Life star Nicole Richie.
