Al Gore To Receive An Emmy

March 28, 2007

As if two Oscars weren't enough, former Vice President Al Gore is set to receive an honorary International Emmy Award for his contribution to television. Well deserved if you ask us!

Gore, whose documentary 'An Inconvenient Truth' scored big at the Oscars, will accept the Founders Award at a ceremony in New York City in November.

The organization’s president Bruce Paisner says, "We in the media industry are honored that one of the world's leading political figures has joined our global community of broadcasters."

You are all living your own lie. An inconvenient truth does spell some truth to the current state of our planet but if you look closer at what is happening in this century, you will find that the planet's detrementation is mostly due to farming ANIMALS and every time you eat at MCDONALDS you are doing more damage to the earth, people and animals. Educate yourself further and make the right choices for future generations. Al Gore is just the beginning.

I am so glad to see that their are smart people on her (with an acception to tracy). Tracy to say that its not that big of a deal and to get over it just shows how little you know about things. Al Gore is a liar and is starting a huge movement based on a lie. And that doesn't matter? It effects alot of things so i suggest you understand that.

Too bad he's getting so much recognition for "An Inconvenient Truth" which is such a convenient lie. But then that was his motive. He doesn't know what to do about the current wave of communism/facism sweeping over the world so he's created a lie from which he can pretend to save the world, make money off his "carbon credits" scam and have some power to make laws that will criple our economy. Just another way to deceitfully implement socialist laws.

Al Gore deserves an Emmy about as much as I do. His contributions to television are minimal at best. The man is a hypocrite and opportunist who thinks he can "buy his way out" of his monstrous electric usage by planting a few trees and istalling solar energy. If he was really that interested in keeping America green, he wouldn't run up monthly $24,000 electric bills in the first place. He wouldn't use private jets several times a week. I'll go plant some seedlings after running up $200 a month utility bills. Does that get me an Emmy and Oscar as well? This is just another case of Hollywood leaning WAY left (believe it or not, I am a lefty, too) and politicizing everything. These Hollywood types have no more knowledge about politics as the average Joe, but they sure think their opinions are more important. If Gore wants to run, he should do it. A Gore v. Clinton race would be awesome. His facts are disputed by a large contingency in the scientific community. Let's see a debate with them and THEN decide if Al is worthy of any more awards.
