Last year’s laugh-out-loud lady comedy “Bridesmaids” has been nominated for both an Oscar and a Golden Globe. The flick now has eight 2012 MTV Movie Awards nominations. These funny ladies have created the Martin Scorsese drinking game and surprised us with their R-rated laughs and red carpet glamour.

In honor of the films 8 MTV Movie Award nominations, here are five fun facts you might not have known about the film!

1. If you remember the scene in the jewelry store, a couple comes in to buy an engagement ring from Kristen Wiig’s character. During the ending credits, those two actors
here used to be a time when people still cared about music videos, when albums weren’t leaked online, and girls screamed and carried signs that said things like “Marry Me Lance Bass.”

Sadly, those days are long gone.

I’m talking about a time when TRL was still a thing. Yes, Total Request Live, the best thing that ever happened to MTV and Carson Daly’s career.
Celebrities, watch your backs. Ashton Kutcher is reviving ‘Punk’d’. It would be so awesome if this whole Demi Moore divorce thing was just a massive prank on all of us.

MTV has officially announced the return of the hit prank show, Punk’d, which was once hosted by none other than Ashton Kutcher. While the Two and a Half Men star will return as executive producer, there’s no word on who will be doing the punking. It was originally reported that Justin Bieber would take the reigns, but there’s been no official update
I was worried about having Jersey Shore withdrawals now that the season is over. But now, there's something on MTV that's even more entertaining than Deana finding her way out of a cardboard box. Yep, Beavis and Butt-Head is back! That’s like, cool and stuff? Heh Heh.

The premiere episode was the same Beavis and Butt-Head Mike Judge introduced us to in the 90’s: entertaining misadventures mixed with the animated duo’s snarky commentary while they watch TV.

There was a hilarious storyline that centered around them contracting Hepatitis from a bum, but even better was their take on MTV’s worst reality shows. Here are our favorite Beavis and Butt-Head moments from the first episode since their 14 year hiatus:

If Demi Lovato is fat, I’m a f-cking sea cow. Lovato showed up to the MTV Video Music Awards wearing a plunging mini-dress, showing off her tan and her curves. She looked great. But apparently, some people interpreted her figure as “fat”, because the singer took to Twitter to defend herself when her weight became a topic on the site.

"I’ve gained weight. Get over it," Lovato Tweeted.

Maybe people had their TVs on the wrong aspect ratio or something. Because I really don’t see it.

Under the hashtag, #demilavato (yes, it was misspelled), Twitter people kept criticizing Lovato’s figure when she showed up to the VMAs. The singer defended herself, writing: “That’s what happens when you get out of treatment for AN EATING DISORDER.”

I’m sure you saw the VMA’s last night and I’m sure when Tyler, The Creator accepted the award for Best New Artist you were probably thinking “who the f-ck is Tyler The Creator?”

Other than being that kid who wore a cat shirt to the VMA’s, Tyler is the foul mouthed rap wunderkid who’s come to steal Kanye West’s job.

1) Tyler is the front man of rap group Off Future. What is a rap group you say? It’s like a bunch of kids from LA who hang out together, skate together and rap together. Tyler is their ringleader. He’s kind of like what Lil Wayne is to Cash Money. If that still doesn’t make sense to you, I don’t know any other way to describe it...

The 2011 MTV Video Music Awards were held on Sunday night at the Nokia Center in Los Angeles. Kanye West and Jay-Z made headlines for their surprise performance, but it was definitely ladies night at the award show.

The highlight of the night was Beyonce showing off her growing baby bump on the red carpet in a red off the shoulder Grecian gown during the pre-show and again after her amazing performance of “Love on Top”. Aren’t pregnant women supposed to slow down? She’s on fire!

FULL RECAP OF 2011 MTV VMA'S

Kanye grabbed Jay-Z by the shoulders enthusiastically after Beyoncé's performance right before she opened up her blazer and rubbed her growing belly. It was such a sweet moment.
It's been a hell of a year for music. And as always, MTV is paying tribute to those artists, bands and singers that give all of our lives a soundtrack. Hollyscoop will be live blogging on the red carpet at this year's 2011 Video Music Awards. From Lady Gaga to Beyonce to Katy Perry—keep refreshing for updates!

Lady Gaga took the stage as her alter ego Joe. She was dressed in a Brooks Brothers suit and sang “You and I”. Is it just me, or does Gaga look almost as good as a dude as she does a woman? Horns, meat, a dude—Gaga can pull off anything. Gaga crooned to the audience in a soulful, emotional performance.

At the pre-show, Gaga won "Best Video With a Message" for Born This Way.

"I'm really proud of the 'Born This Way' video, and for it to be nominated is an absolute honor," Gaga told MTV News before the pre-show.

Whether you love, hate, or are totally indifferent to it—that song has quickly become an anthem for our generation...
