Wall-E is certainly in contention for Best Picture for this year’s Oscars. The Chicago Film Critics Association has just named the Disney Pixar animated movie their pick for Best Picture of 2008. Not only that, but Chicago picked WALL-E for Best Animated Feature, Original Screenplay, and Score.

Not too bad for a Disney flick! We think what draws viewers especially to this movie is the storyline that’s not too far off from happening on our planet. If you’re unfamiliar with the trash-collecting robot’s story, click here to read about it.

Over in at the Las Vegas Film Critics Association, they picked Frost/Nixon for Best Picture, which is quickly gaining buzz as one of the movies to see before award season.
