The MTV Movie Award Nominations were announced this morning, and it’s no surprise that
Twilight leads the pack!
The vampire flick is up for seven golden popcorns, and trailing right behind them is
Slumdog Millionaire with six nominations.
The lead roles in both films are being recognized--
Kristen Stewart is up for Female Performance, while
Rob Pattinson and Taylor Lautner are both vying for Breakthrough Male Performance. On the Slumdog side, real life couple Freida Pinto and Dev Patel are up for Breakthrough Female and Male Performances.
New to the MTV Movie Awards this year are two categories—Best Song from a Movie, and Best WTF Moment. And starting today, fans will be able to vote for a winner in every category by clicking
here.
Andy Samberg is this year’s host of the awards, which will air live at 9PM May 31st from the Gibson Amphitheatre. Eminem is already confirmed to perform, and the list of presenters and additional performers will be revealed in the coming weeks.
