Tom Hanks Quits Directing For Family Time

January 16, 2008

Tom Hanks says he is quitting directing to concentrate on his family. He admits that it takes too much time away from his family.

His most recent work consists of directing the film A Wilderness of Monkeys, which will be released some time later this year.

He says, "I'd like to direct again, but I can't. It'd take me away from my kids, and that'd be inexcusable."

Tom Hanks has 4 children total. He has two grown kids from his previous marriage and two from his current marriage to Rita Wilson.

Now that's a good dad!
