It looks like Mission Impossible 4 is going to happen after all! The project is moving forward, and two screenwriters have been brought on to pen the script.

Variety, Paramount and producers
Tom Cruise and J.J. Abrams have hired Josh Applebaum and Andre Nemec to write it. Those are the same people who wrote four seasons on the hit TV show Alias.
There’s been no casting information as of yet, however industry sources say Cruise’s character Ethan Hunt will be in the film. Because what’s a Mission Impossible movie without Tom Cruise?!!
The fourth installment of the blockbuster franchise is expected to be released in 2011.
