Whiteout and Sorority Row Opening this Weekend

Planning on making a trip out to the theaters this weekend? There are some great flicks opening up including Kate Beckinsale's Whiteout and the animated flick 9.

The Final Destination Dominates the Box Office

The Final Destination: Box Office Success! The suspense thriller dominated the box office this past weekend bringing in $12 million dollars opening weekend.

Coming in at a close second was the Bradley Cooper romantic comedy, All About Steve, which did a little over $11 million. And rounding out the top three movies was Brad Pitt's Inglourious Basterds, which brought in an additional $10.8 million dollars.

Move over Brad Pitt, action thriller 'The Final Destination' dominated the box office this weekend bringing in $28 million dollars opening weekend.

Brad and Tarantino's 'Inglourious Basterds' held on to the number two position with $20 million, while 'Halloween II' rounded out the top three with $17.4 million.

Here are the top ten movies from the August 28-30 weekend:

1. The Final Destination: $28.3 million
