Report: Rachel McAdams to Play Villain in Spider-Man 4

Spider-Man 4 Gets Release Date

Spidey is officially coming back to the big screen! Spider Man 4 has finally gotten a release date. According to the Hollywood Reporter, the fourth installment will arrive on Thursday, May 5th, 2011.

Disney Buys Marvel Comics for $4 Billion

Spider Man and Mickey Mouse are now family! Disney has just purchased Marvel Comics for $4 billion in cash and stock. Under the deal, Disney will acquire 5000 Marvel characters, like Iron Man, Spider-Man, and the Fantastic Four. Many of them were created by comic book legend Stan Lee.

Spider Man 4 has already been confirmed as a go, but we’ll be seeing a lot more of Spidey in the future! Sony Pictures has just confirmed that the scripts are currently in the works for Spider-Man sequels 5 and 6!

Evan Rachel Wood is set to play Mary Jane Watson in the Broadway edition of Spider-Man. Hollyscoop first reported the news of the casting back in December.

This is terrible news.

Actress Lucy Gordon, who was one of England’s most promising stars, was found dead in her Paris apartment.

She appeared as British reporter Jennifer Dugan in Spider Man 3, and also starred alongside the late Heath Ledger in Four Feathers.

According to the London Times, Gordon was discovered in her apartment after hanging herself while her boyfriend was sleeping. An autopsy has been requested, but there are no further details at this time.
