The Critics Love Slumdog Millionaire

Slumdog Millionaire
Yet another group of critics has awarded Slumdog Millionaire with the most nominations. The votes are in for the 2009 London Critics Circle Film Awards, and Slumdog has six to lead the pack.

Director of the film Danny Boyle is up for best director and best British director, Dev Patel is up for best British actor and best young British performer, writer Simon Beaufoy is up for best screenwriting, and the movie is also up for best British film of the year.

Other notable nominees to mention are Kate Winslet, who is up for two awards in the Best Actress and Best British Actress categories, and Heath Ledger, who is nominated for Best Actor.

Judi Dench be honored with the Dilys Powell Award for Outstanding Contribution To Cinema at the show that will take place on February 4th. We’ve included a trailer for Slumdog Millionaire so you can take a look and see what all the hype is about. Trust us and watch the movie! It's great film!
