Daily Variety reports that Jude Law is set to play Watson in Guy Ritchie's version of Sherloc Holmes, alongside Robert Downey Jr. Ritchie denied previous reports that Russell Crowe would be playing the part, and Jude certainly makes a lot more sense for the character.
As we reported earlier, Ritchie's movie will compete with the Sherlock Holmes starring Sacha Baron Cohen as the detective. Production on the film starts next month.
