Scarlett Johansson is joining the cast!
Originally, Emily Blunt was slated to play the role of Black Widow in the film. But now industry sources say she’s been replaced by Scarlett! Emily reportedly had scheduling issues because of her attachment to Gulliver’s Travels. Since then, the uber hot Eliza Dushku was being considered for the role. But Jon Favreau allegedly wanted a real A-lister, and has cast Scarlett.
She’s reportedly met with Jon and the crew and is just waiting for Emily to officially step down from the role before swooping in.
Honestly, we like Scarlett much better for this role! Emily has the bitchy sexy thing down pat, but Scarlett is much more believable as a Russian spy!
