Ryan Reynolds Lands Green Lantern Role

Ryan Reynolds has beat out Justin Timberlake and Bradley Cooper for the role of Green Lantern! The search for the lead character lasted for months, with producers screen-testing dozens of possible candidates, including Jared Leto and Tudors star Henry Cavill.

But according to the Hollywood Reporter, Ryan beat out everyone for the role, making him the first actor to play heroes for both Marvel and DC. As you probably know, Ryan played Deadpool in X-Men Origins: Wolverine....

Ryan Reynolds really wowed Twentieth Century Fox bosses with his role as Wade Wilson/Deadpool, and now he’s getting his own spin-off! Just add it to the list of comic movies inpre-production!

X-Men Origins: Wolverine is still number one at the box office, and movie execs think they need to build on the particular storyline of Deadpool.
