Rumer Willis has made quiet the name for herself in the industry. She has been in several movies and she claims that it has nothing to do with her parents being famous. She says that at the end of the day you need to have talent to get cast in a movie. She has a point!
Now that she has made a name for herself and has more acting experience, she wouldn't mind starring in a film opposite her parents,
Demi Moore and
Bruce Willis. Note that she has been in several films with her parents since she was a little girl, but she's always played their daughter.
She says, "Sometimes I think we helped each other by playing opposite each other. When my dad has to do a super-emotional scene, he looks at a picture of us to find the emotion. Playing his kidnapped daughter in Hostage meant he didn't have to look at the picture to get kind of tearful.
"I'd love to work with my parents again, now that I'm older. I'd love to play someone other than their daughter."
It definitely does help having Bruce Willis and Demi Moore as your parents, but you need to have your head on your shoulders if you actually want to succeed. Just look at other Hollywood screw-ups like Cameron Douglas and Redmond O'Neal. They could have used their parents names to make a name for themselves but all they did is screw their life up. Rumer is definitely in it for the long run.
