Ice Age and Transformers Tie at Box Office With $42.5 Million

The prehistoric creatures of
Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs
are a force to be reckoned with! Ice Age and
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen
are tied at the box office with $42.5 million apiece!
Both studios reported estimated takings of US$42.5mil for the weekend, but some box office analysts say Ice Age could jump into the top spot thanks to strong ticket sales at theatres showing it 3D.

Hangover Still Going Strong at the Box Office

Bradley Cooper and boys still have a hangover from their Vegas trip...and so do moviegoers! The movie is still going strong at the box office and brought in $33 million this weekend, with a total gross of $105,389.

The box office numbers are in from this weekend, and although you may be suffering from one on this Monday morning,
The Hangover
failed to drink everyone under the table.
Pixar’s Up managed to squeeze out another box office win this weekend with $44.2 million. The Hangover trailed by just a tad, raking in $43.3 million.

Up Soars Over Box Office

Disney Pixar’s
Up
dominated the box office this weekend, grossing an estimated $68.2 million. It’s in third place for Pixar releases, behind The Incredibles and Finding Nemo.
Disney distribution president Chuck Viane said today, "I think the sell was easier than that. We sold a great story. We showed a great comedy."
Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian
continued to bring in big numbers, surpassing the $100,000,00 mark with $105.3 million.

Who knew a bunch of museum exhibits could beat the Terminator himself? The box office numbers for Memorial Day weekend are in, and surprisingly enough, Terminator wasn’t on top!
