Trailer For Baz Luhrmann's Australia

The trailer has just been released for Baz Luhrmann’s movie Australia, and this one looks good! The film takes place in northern Australia prior to World War II, where an English aristocrat inherits a cattle station the size of Maryland.

Nicole Kidman Signs on For Nine

A long list of A-listers have signed onto Rob Marshall's latest project, Nine. It's an adaptation of the Federico Fellini's award winning Broadway musical, Eight and a Half.

Lovebirds Javier Bardem and Penelope Cruz have already signed on, as well as Nicole Kidman, Marion Cotillard, Sopia Loren, and Judi Dench. Bardem plays the main character, a film director juggling the demands of the several women in his life. Filming begins in September.
Kate Winslet Takes Over Nicole Kidman's Role

After confirming her pregnancy, Nicole Kidman has stepped down from her role in "The Reader" and Kate Winslet has swooped it back up. Kate was originally offered the role, but turned it down due to scheduling conflicts with Revolutionary Road.

When Nicole announced her pregnancy and pulled out of the role, Winslet retook it. The film is about an affair between a teenage boy and an older woman in post-WWII Germany.

The films star Nicole Kidman came out in her hometown to promote her film. Although "The Golden Compass" has not broken records in the states, it has done fairly well overseas.

Nicole Kidman’s new film 'The Golden Compass' hit theatres this past weekend and it took the top spot. Unfortunately, coming in at #1 didn’t satisfy studio bosses who expected the movie to open with #30-$40 million. Instead, Nicole’s new movie brought in $26.1 million.

The Disney film ‘Enchanted” took home the prize for second place bringing in $10.7 million. ‘This Christmas’ landed in third with $5 million.

Kidman Isn't Sexy Enough for Bond

Nicole Kidman is argueably one of the most beautiful women in the entertainment industry, unfortunately 'beautiful' and 'sexy' are worlds apart.

When asked if she would consider being a Bond girl, Nicole said she doesn't believe she's hot enough for the role.

She tells Britain's Closer magazine, "I don't know if Daniel would have me. I'd have to be a 'hot babe' and I don't think that's really my thing." .
