Oscar winning director Anthony Minghella passed away early Tuesday morning. He was only 54 years old
According to a spokesman, he suffered a fatal hemorrhage at 5 a.m. on Tuesday morning at a hospital in London. He was at the hospital because he had undergone surgery for a growth on his neck last week.
Anthony Minghella was the director and the writer of “The English Patient” and most recently directed “No 1 Ladies Detective Agency,” which is going to premiere on BBC1 on March 23.
