Mike Myers in a comedic role, but now this actor is taking a bold step and taking on a dramatic war film. Risky? Hardly! The movie is directed by
Quentin Tarantino and stars

Hollyscoop caught up with Myers at the "AFI Night At The Movies" event where he gave us some insider scoop on his new movie, "Inglorious Bastards."
“It’s a World War II movie,
this is a dream come true for me, I’ve wanted to be in a WW II movie my whole life. I’ve wanted to play a British general my whole life, so I can't believe I got the call."
The movie doesn't begin shooting until October 13th, but Myers has already been in close contact with the crew. “I spoke to Tarantino... marathon phone calls. He’s just such a lover of film, it’s a joy."
Tarantino's "Inglorious Bastards" is set to be released June of 2009, so we have to wait a while to see Myers and Pitt in action. But in the meanwhile, check out our exclusive interview with Mike Myers below...
