Hundreds of fans camped out in downtown Los Angeles at LA Live over the weekend, just to be the first to purchase tickets to the advance screening to the Michael Jackson This Is It movie.

They began lining up early last Thursday, and continued to wait until midnight on September 27th, when the tickets went on sale. The first 500 people in line also received an authentic, one-of-a-kind This Is It lenticularly-printed ticket inspired and designed by Michael Jackson for the London concerts.

The film, featuring footage of the King of Pop rehearsing for his London concerts, will be screen exclusively at the brand new Regal Cinemas at LA Live on October 27th.

This Is It captures the singer, dancer, filmmaker, architect, creative genius, and great artist at work as he creates and perfects his final show. Kenny Ortega, who was both Michael Jackson's creative partner and the director of the stage show, is also directing the film, which is being produced by Randy Phillips, Kenny Ortega and Paul Gongaware.

The new facility will boast the nation’s most state-of-the-art and technologically advanced theatres. All 14 theatres will feature digital projection and sound systems along with high gain screens, high-back reclining seats and retractable cup holders guaranteeing the ultimate comfort for the best movie experience. The Regal Cinemas LA Live Stadium 14 will also feature an 800-seat premier house with a private entrance and lobby in addition to a grand spiral staircase leading to the premier theatre’s balcony level.

Hi Caligirl ....I just logged in to the page you mentioned....listening to Michaels statement/words and song right now. I'm gonna sign up as a member I think. I don't have the kind of financial options as Michael (obviously) so instead I chose to get two sponsor children a few years ago. A boy and a girl from two different continents than my own. The organization I have the boy in will send me pictures of him every time I bought or send him something so I'm able to see his delightful progress all the time ...thats an amazing feeling when I see his big smile while standing next to whatever I got him. When I get a bit better off some day...he and his grandmother and sister will need to get a new house ...they live in a shed of mud thats falling apart right now...it is so sad. ...Michael was able to do so much better though...on such a larger scale. Not just through money but through his name as well. Anyone he'd call to try and establish something to help someone else...would listen to him and join in :-) ...I love Michaels music but what I admire most of all about him ...is his heart and compassinate nature. That combined with his fame, resulted in a spetacular amount of help and love for children all over the world. oh and I have his movie "moonwalker" ...love his imagination and director skills too :-) I'd wish he had gotten more time to follow his dream about directing movies....

Read the books Dancing With Dreams, Moon Walker, The Man Behind The Music. Or better yet log unto the "HEAL THE WORLD FOUNDATION" in which Michael started then take it from there.Think about it.

I beleive that this concert that was turned into a movie due to Michaels death was a great idea. The reason is because Michael had prepared to give to his fans something they had never scene before and take them places they never scene before. Not only that but, it will help towards his estate. Don't forget we have Michael's children to think of here. The proceeds will not only help on the debts he owed but the estate. So some people should stop being so negative.Try to stay Postive.

Going with my 5 year old at the end of this month to see it....he is such a small and sweet boy and such a tremendous fan of MJ :-) Its gonna be with mixed emotions I see the movie though....for several reasons but especially since it is SONY who bought the rights and put it together. If anything could make Michael turn in his grave ...that would be it.

just when i thought it was over here we go again. will this ever end? a movie about a concert that will never happen because the "star" died from drugs. Is this really the message we need to be sending to the youth of today?
