MacGruber
MacGruber! Making lifesaving inventions out of household materials! The infamous SNL spin-off skit on MacGyver is being made into a movie!

SNL’s Will Forte plays the part of MacGruber, a sorry excuse for a secret agent, who, unlike the real MacGyver, is never able to save himself and his colleagues from life-threatening situations.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the movie is already casting, and Ryan Phillippe, Val Kilmer, Kristen Wiig, and of course Will Forte are in talks to join the cast.

Jorma Taccone, who created the character and directed most of the skits, is writing, and SNL producer and creator Lorne Michaels is producing.

The plot features MacGruber, pulled out of retirement as a monk in Ecuador by a colonel, who needs him once more to fight on behalf of his country. This time the mission involves going up against the evil Cunth, who has a nuclear warhead; the mission is personal because Cunth killed MacGruber's bride.

Industry sources say the parody movie is being fast-tracked, and could be released before the actual MacGyver movie comes out!

SNL is trying too hard to make movies from their skits on the show. That thinking should stopped after Mike Myers left the show.
