Little Shop of Horrors Being Remade Into a Movie

Little Shop of Horrors
Lately, a lot of films have been turned into musicals. But this time it’s working the opposite way, with the classic Little Shop of Horrors being turned into a movie, minus the music! Sounds hard to imagine! But before Little Shop was a stage production, it was a black and white film in the 1960s. So this is a case of a film, turned musical, turned back to film!

Director Declan O'Brien recently told movie website Bloody Disgusting, "I just optioned Roger Corman's Little Shop of Horrors, which I'm setting up as a big studio remake." He went on to say that they're shopping it to studios this week, and it won't be a musical.

Little Shop of Horrors is about a florist who nurtures a man-eating plant, which forces him to kill to feed it.

O’Brien says, "It'll be dark. I have a take on it you're not going to expect. I'm taking it in a different direction, let's put it that way."

We love this remake idea! Little Shop of Horrors is a classic, and we’d love to see how they’ll pull the new and improved version off using current technology and effects.
