Angelina Jolie has just signed on for the role of the heroine in a film based on Patricia Cornwell’s best-selling crime novels.

According to Variety, Angie will play the beautiful Dr. Kay Scarpetta in the film adapted from several of the books in the 16-novel series.

The movie won’t just follow one of the books, which is similar to how the Bourne movies with Matt Damon were taken from several of Robert Ludlum books.

Kung Fu Panda was such a hit that DreamWorks has decided to do a sequel.

They confirmed today that it's already in the works and they're hoping for a release date in 2011. The film will reunite Jack Black and Angelina Jolie, and the movie will be released in 3-D, which is the new standard for all DreamWorks animation movies.

Everyone's favorite panda is coming back to the big screen. Kung Fu Panda was such a hit in theaters that movie bosses are gearing up for the sequel.

The movie grossed $560 million in global sales, making it Dreamworks' most successful movie ever.

Dreamworks chief executive, Jeffrey Katzenberg said, "We've started conversations about it, and I think in the next 30 or 60 days, we'll be able to talk completely about that.
