Gen Art hosted two star-studded events at Sundance 2009 Film Festival “7 Fresh Faces in Film” with 7 For All Mankind and “It’s Better in the Dark” with Black - Kenneth Cole. Both events honored actors for their commitment to independent cinema.

Honoree Kevin Bacon spoke with Hollyscoop.com at the Kenneth Cole Black Party to let us know that Gen Art “inspires him as a film maker.”

He says, "It is so exciting to share something with a really young, super hip audience.”

Kevin also shared his “love for film festivals, in general”. He says, “I think they are always just a great opportunity to inspire the artistic side of something that is often so commercialized. You have to keep pushing the envelope. Film festivals are the place where that happens.”

Celebrities like Kevin Bacon, Kyra Sedgwick, Nick Cannon, Eliza Dukshu, Andie MacDowell, Emily Vancamp, Denise Richards, and Jeff Daniels all came out to celebrate.

These events were part of Gen Art’s long-term commitment (and part of its 15th Anniversary) to promoting, showcasing, and building awareness for emerging independent artists.
