Keira Knightley is in talks to play Zelda Sayre, one of the most controversial characters of her time. Zelda was married to F. Scott Fitzgerald, the author of The Great Gatsby.
The two were a high society couple, who appeared to be perfect in every way on the outside, but those close to them knew of troubles in their relationship. Some experts suggest that Ms Sayre's behaviour and schizophrenia led Scott Fitzgerald into fits of jealousy and alcoholism. The movie will be called The Beautiful And The Damned.
The film is written by Hanna Weg, who also wrote Enigma, and directed by Nick Cassavetes. It is to begin shooting in April, although the role of Scott Fitzgerald has not yet been cast.
