We hoped that this remake wouldn’t happen. The original is just so good! How could
Raplh Macchio be replaced?! But this is the era we live in. All the ideas are taken, and with futuristic effect houses, studios are all about taking something old and making it look incredible. Usually they’re able to, but there’s something about 80s movies, even with their bad acting and poor editing, that we love!
Jaden Smith, so of
Will Smith, will be playing the Karate Kid. The remake is being written by Chris Murphy, who says he wants to stay close to the original script.
Jaden is really proving himself as a good little actor! He was great in Pursuit of Happyness, so we’ll have to see how he measures up.
