Jennifer Aniston Lands Cougarish Movie Role

Jennifer Aniston
Jennifer Aniston is one of the hottest cougars in Hollywood. And once again, her next movie role has mirrored her own personal life. Jen’s next film is called Pumas, which is a step above the proverbial “cougar.”

Variety reports that the movie is about two women in their 30s who make a habit of hooking up with younger men. They then go on a ski trip to France and their romantic expectations are challenged.

Jen told GQ back in January that the film is like the “female Wedding Crashers.”

She said, "It is so a comment on the sexual double standard, and what's been ironic is how hard it's been to get this movie made... Studios want it, but they are afraid of Middle America. They'd want to change it; they're saying, 'Oh, you can't do that, people just can't imagine you..."

Aniston told GQ that "there are too many movies out there that don't empower women, movies in which their only way of being happy is finding a man. And you know, that's not my favorite theme."

Well, Jen’s right in her statement that her movies do correlate with her own life! Could this mean a younger man in her future?? Who would you wanna see Jen date? She's already been linked to half of Hollywood so be creative!

From Cinematical website: Stacy: "Do you not realize how much begging Aniston had to do to get someone to fund this Puma movie? She even stated in an interview six months ago that everyone she pitched the idea to turned her down because they said the public doesn't want or find her believable in that type of role. Why else do you think she went chasing after John Mayer, who was 9 years her junior? Aniston is, was and always will be a woman with a plan. One that she thinks will make her a huge movie star. Furthermore, Aniston's name alone can't greenlight anything, no matter what the subject matter is. This current batch of narcissistic romcoms she's got brewing - The Baster, The Bounty and now Puma, on the heals of the ones she's already made (The Break Up and He's Just Not That Into You), are obviously meant to make hay on her reputation of being unlucky in love. Aniston deliberately cultivates these movies, several of which she is producing, then does interviews whining about the type of roles she's offered and lamenting her lack of opportunities to grow as an actress. Frankly I'm sick of is people cutting Aniston slack with comments like "I want to believe she's a good egg." I want to believe in the Easter Bunny, but it's a big fat fairy tale and I've got the cavities to prove it. Aniston started her own production company to vet her own material and, to paraphrase her words, "make movies that inspire and empower women." Yet movies like Pumas and The Baster is what she repeatedly churns out because she thinks they will be box office hits and turn her into a huge movie star like her ex-husband and the women every one assumes he left her for. Why people keep dancing around that fact is beyond me. Aniston isn't looking to grow as an actress. She's looking to get on even professional footing with two of the biggest global stars around today. Only then will she consider herself a success. It's all about her ego NOT her body of work and certainly not the quality and variety of her work. When it comes to Aniston someone needs to call a spade a spade and I'm more than happy to do it. Bottom line - she needs to get over herself. She is not and never will be a global movie star on par with Pitt and Jolie. She simply doesn't have the screen presence or the talent to carry a feature length film on her own. It's not exactly a shock that ALL of Aniston's hit movies are films in which she played second fiddle to an A-list comic actor. If people look at it logically, she wasn't even THE STAR of the tv show she did. It was an ensemble show with each actor carrying part of the load. Aniston was no more important in that cast than anyone else. They all received equal pay. Yet somehow she keeps getting cast in lead roles in movies that tank at the box office. How many potentially great movies don't get made or potentially great actors don't get discovered because someone wasted $30 or $40 million dollars funding a Jennifer Aniston movie that barely makes back the marketing costs let alone the production budget? The thought absolutely boggles my mind."
