Javier Bardem
Javier Bardem has received honors for his work in film from his native Spain. He is this year's recipient of the National Cinematography Prize, given by members of the Institute of Cinematography and Audiovisual Art in Madrid.

Each year, the board recognizes the professional goals he has achieved throughout his long career, particularly in 2007, for his defence of the acting profession and for his constant commitment to Spanish cinema, at home and abroad.

Accepting the award, Javier said, "This is not only for me, but for all members of this profession that I love and that I try to defend day after day."
