High School Musical
High School Musical is such a hit with the younger generation that it's hard to imagine any movie competing with it in the theaters next month.  But the most sincere form of flattery is imitation, and that's exactly what MTV intends on doing.

The network has teamed up with Sears to create a new movie musical from the same producers of HSM, which will be called The American Mall. The movie is about a group of friends who work in a mall over the summer.

Scenes were shot in a Sears store and characters wear Sears clothing. It was launched on the Internet earlier this month and will be broadcast on MTV on August 11th. It sounds cute and everything….except for the Sears thing.

When we think of Sears, we think cheesy family portraits and washer dryers. Not fashion!

Hi Bridget, I think you'll be surprised by how terrific the outfits are! I'm interning with Sears for the summer and working on the Arrive promotion, too. Check out the 'American Mall' movie clips at ArriveLounge.com, too. There are some in-depth interviews about the clothes. I'm also working with the shopping spree contest! The Style Intern
