Here comes another remake! The latest classic movie to be reworked is Alfred Hitchcock’s classic The Birds. If you’ve ever seen the original, you probably see birds in a whole different light. And before you go writing off ever seeing the remake, we’ve got some good news for you!
George Clooney is slated to star in it, playing lawyer Mitch Brenner. Original Birds star Rod Taylor says he was wary at first of an updated version, but once he heard Clooney was attached, he felt better. And Taylor predicts Clooney will do a better job than any other actor.
He says, "
I often cringe when I hear mention of remakes, but I'll hold judgement, especially since I've been told Clooney's the favorite."
Naomi Watts is also rumored to play the lead role in the movie. Word is that Universal wants to get a big name on board so that they can start getting the ball rolling. That’s some pretty major star power attached to this! So forget the plot! Just think about going to see yet another Clooney film!
