A couple of months ago, all
Zac Efron would talk about was that he was starring in a
Footloose remake. Probably anything to not talk about High School Musical anymore! But now we hear Zac has pulled out of the project because he’s all musical-ed out!
According to TheWrap, Zac told the studio last week that he no longer wanted to be a part of the project because he didn’t want to do another musical at this point of his career.
A Studio source tells TheWrap, “People had been working on this project since last July. We were all shocked.”
The source also said Zac had script approval, so they were shocked that the remake wasn’t to his liking, since he had so much say in the process.
This is kind of a weird move by Zac. He may be big in the tween world, but he’s got to earn his points as a real actor by doing roles that he may think he’s above sometimes. Now, Zac has no other films he’s working on, so we don’t know how smart this career move was!
