Daniel Day-Lewis Wins Oscar For Best Actor In A Leading Role

February 24, 2008

Daniel Day-Lewis

If Daniel Day-Lewis didn’t win the Oscar for “Best Actor In A Leading Role” there would have been blood. Was this a suprise? No! We all knew Daniel would win the Oscar for his role as the ruthless Daniel Plainview. He truly re-created what the word acting means in this movie.

This is Daniel’s second Academy Award and fourth nomination. Oscar winner Helen Mirren presented Daniel the award in which he responded, “At last the closest I can come to getting a knighthood”.

No Tributes to actor Heith Ledger or any other actor in his speech. It was all about family, Daniel thanked his wife Rebecca Miller, his children, father and grandfather.

We all know Daniel is picky about his choice for roles and we're hoping he can make his next flick in the next year. So far he has not committed to any movies. Guys like him should be making more films, since he is a real actor.
