The sudden death of Michael Jackson has prompted a last-minute edit for the movie Bruno starring Sacha Baron Cohen.

Universal Studios decided to cut a scene that pokes fun of Latoya Jackson in the film, out of respect for the Jackson family.

In the scene, Bruno attempts to find Michael Jackson’s phone number in Latoya’s BlackBerry.

Bruno reads the number aloud when he finds it, and an angry Latoya ends the interview and storms off the set.

The scene was deleted for last night’s Los Angeles premiere at Grauman’s Chinese Theater. And according to reports, the scene will not be restored for its official release on July 10th.

In related news, fans showed up to pay their respects to Michael after hearing of his death by showing up to his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The star happens to be situated right at Grauman’s Chinese Theater where the premiere was taking place. And although the star was blocked off due to the premiere, it didn’t stop hundreds of fans showing up to show their condolences. The star is available for fans to visit today.

It doesn't sound like it was an offensive scene...doesn't seem as if it was necessary to cut it out of the film...it might have been embraced by Michael Jackson and LaToya fans.
