Brokeback Mountain The Opera

Brokeback Mountain is being made into an opera. The New York City Opera has commissioned Charles Wuorinen to compose an opera based on the short story, which was then turned into the movie starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Heath Ledger.

It will premiere in 2013. The story is so moving, that it just might work as an opera.
