Here’s some casting news that came out of nowhere! Sarah Jessica Parker is allegedly interested in casting
Britney Spears in the Sex & The City Sequel. We know Brit’s a shoe-in for good box office numbers, but really? How I Met Your Mother is one thing, but we really don’t need Brit gracing the silver screen. Need we remind you of Crossroads??
According to Heat magazine, Sarah was over heard talking about the possibility to a group of friends. The magazine quotes her as saying, “My idea is to have someone like Britney Spears move to New York as my cousin or niece and Carrie would show her the ropes.”
Interesting choice. But we could think of a dozen other names of actresses who would be perfect for that part. Then again, they did surprise us with the Jennifer Hudson casting for the original, and she was great as Carrie’s assistant.
We just hope there’s a sequel period! The rumors have been so back and forth, we don’t know what to believe! But as of now,
Sarah Jessica Parker,
Kim Cattrall,
Kristin Davis, and Cynthia Nixon are all on board for the sequel.
