The Cannes Film Festival 2008 is two days away and one film that is already creating buzz is the Miramax flick
“Blindness.” The film will be premiering on opening night and screening in competition at the Film Festival.
The psychological thriller is about a sudden plague of blindness, which devastates a city. A small group of the afflicted band together to triumphantly overcome the horrific conditions of their imposed quarantine.
The all-star international cast, including three-time Academy Award nominee
Julianne Moore,
Mark Ruffalo,
Danny Glover,
Gael García Bernal and
Alice Braga.
Based on the widely acclaimed novel by the Nobel Prize winning author
José Saramago, and directed by renowned filmmaker
Fernando Meirelles ("City of God").
